Comfort Foods

I think winter really seeped into me today, because I was in the mood for rich, heavy foods all day. The first picture is lunch - cheese ravioli with Italian sausage and tomato sauce; and balsamic vinegar butternut squash. Yum!

For supper I had the best beef stew I've ever made; it was so good I had a really hard time resisting a second helping! I paired this with a strong, spiced tea and I was in heaven. Ahhh :D

Looks great! I have been craving wintery-comfort foods as well! I guess it is that time of year! :)

Delish...just wondering, if you've struggled with giving up sodas and diet sodas, do you find that the strong spiced tea helps with the need to flavored drinks at mealtime? It's something I struggle with and I'd like to stop drinking diet sodas.

Avie: Thanks :D
When you think about it, it's very interesting how we crave different foods at different times of the year.

Amie: I wasn't sure how to reply, because just like you, I struggle with the diet soda issue. But, I've been experimenting with the the spiced tea since you posted the comment. I was out of diet mountian dew (my addiction) and had been craving it for days. But, I finally had some for supper tonight, along with the spiced tea. I prefered the tea! I think it might be a good solution. If you want to know the brand let me know.

I also like to drink water with the propel packets. It helps with the sweet drink craving and I drink more water.

Now I just need to find a good carbonated alternative.
